Program Description

SUNY Suffolk Community College, Study Abroad Office is offering a program located at the “Universidad de Santiago de Compostela”, in Northwestern Spain’s region of Galicia.

Santiago de Compostela is a profoundly historical city, declared Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO in 1985, which throughout the centuries has received and given shelter to the many thousands of pilgrims who have come to the tomb of the Apostle St. James, following the Pilgrim’s Way.

Santiago has one of Spain’s most beautiful monumental areas, and is, through tradition and personality, an open city, famous for its hospitality; a city which strives to display its history and its legends, and to share the beauty and fascination of its streets and squares. A city built to be enjoyed, peaceful, relaxed, and safe.

Spain 2019 will offer you the opportunity to acquire better Spanish language skills by interacting with Spaniards and other international fellow students by practicing on-site what they learn every day in class. This total language/cultural experience is enhanced by exploring Spain’ s history, geography, art, literature and film in the Cultural Studies courses or Writing for Travel course.

at Santiago de Compostela airport is scheduled at 12:55PM.

Saturday July 27, 2019 – Return
Group will leave Santiago de Compostela airport with IB #3877 at 09:10am and arrive to Madrid at
Connection flight IB #6253 will depart at 04:50PM and it is scheduled to arrive New York JFK airport
same day at 06:40PM local time.

Missing any flight for any reason
Automatically cancels the rest of the reservation, invalidates your ticket and you will have to purchase a one way ticket for the rest of your itinerary. Airlines will not give you any credit for the unused portion of your ticket.

Documents To Enter A Foreign Country

Possession of documentation is the responsibility of each passenger.
Failure to provide them will result in denied boarding with no right to refund.
